Cobra 200 is a drug that contains 200mg of the active ingredient Sildenafil citrate and is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. Cobra is a PDE5 inhibitor – this means it inhibits the action of the enzyme PDE5 in order to relax the muscles of the blood vessels in the penis thereby increasing blood flow to produce an erection. This effect however is achieved with the presence of sexual stimulation.
Dosage
The recommended initial adult dose of Sildenafil is 50mg once daily, as needed. However, Cobra 200 may be taken 1 tablet per day orally, as needed, 1 hour prior to sexual activity. The tablet must be swallowed whole with a glassful of water. Depending on its efficacy and tolerability per individual, the dose may either be decreased or increased. Dose adjustment must be done with the advice of a healthcare provider.
Note that the maximum dose of 200mg Cobra per day should not be exceeded.
Cobra may be taken with or without food. But if taken with food, especially with foods high in fat, the onset of efficacy may be delayed.
