Tadalis SX 20mg N4 (Tadalafil)

During sexual stimulation, the natural response of the body releases nitric oxide in the erectile tissues of the penis, activating the enzyme called guanylate cyclase. This enzyme then increases the levels of cGMP which is responsible for blood vessel relaxation to allow blood to fill the erectile tissues and cause an erection. However, an enzyme called PDE5 is also present, which breaks down cGMP.

Tadalis SX contains 20mg of the active ingredient Tadalafil. It is a PDE5 inhibitor, blocking the action of the enzyme PDE5 as a solution to erectile dysfunction.

Dosage

Tadalis SX may be used as needed or for daily use. The recommended dosage of Tadalis SX are as follows:

• When used as needed:
  
      The usual starting dose is 10mg, once a day, as needed, taken 30 minutes prior to an anticipated sexual activity. The dose may be adjusted by a physician, between 5mg to 20mg, based on efficacy and tolerability.
  
   
• When used daily:
  
  The usual dose is 2.5mg taken once daily, without regard to time of sexual activity. The dose may be increased by a physician up to 5mg, based on efficacy and tolerability. Take tablet at same times each day. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered not to exceed one dose per day.
  
  A tablet of Tadalis SX must be taken orally, swallowed whole with a glass full of water. Sexual stimulation is needed to start the natural process of erection with the help of Tadalis SX. This drug does not cure erectile dysfunction, does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases and does not serve as a form of birth control. It is not intended for use by women and children below 18 years.
  

Contraindications

Tadalix SX is contraindicated to patients who are allergic to the active ingredient Tadalafil, or to any of the inactive ingredients of the tablet.
It is also contraindicated to patients not allowed to engage in sexual activity due to health problems or when patient had a heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months. Patients with severe liver and kidney impairment must avoid use of this drug.
Patients taking any form of nitrates, including drugs for heart conditions and recreational drugs, PDE5 inhibitors, guanylate cyclase stimulators, must not take Tadalis SX because it may cause a severe blood pressure drop.

Side effects

The most common side effects of Tadalis SX include dizziness or lightheadedness, headache, flushing, nasal congestion, nausea, upset stomach, back and muscle pains. Slowly sitting up or standing up may reduce the risk of dizziness or lightheadedness. Other common side effects usually go away in a few hours or after a few days. Notify a physician if these persist or worsen.

Patients with pre-existing heart conditions may be at risk of these side effects during sexual activity: nausea, severe dizziness, fainting, pain in chest, jaw or left arm. Urgent medical help is needed if these side effects occur and use of medication must be stopped.

Stopping the use of medication and urgent medical help is also needed if these rare side effects occur:

• Sudden decrease in vision or blindness in one or both eyes
• Sudden decrease of hearing, ringing in the ears or loss of hearing
• Painful or prolonged erection that lasts more than 4 hours
• Allergic reaction with symptoms of rash, hives, itching, swelling of face or throat, trouble breathing

Warnings and Precautions

Before using Tadalis SX, a healthcare provider must be notified if any of the following medical conditions apply:

• Deformation of penis
• Cardiovascular diseases
• Heart attack in the past 90 days
• Stroke in the past 6 months
• Bleeding disorders
• Active peptic ulcer disease
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Conditions that may cause priapism
• Retinitis pigmentosa

Tadalis SX may interact with the following medications:

• CYP3A4 inhibitors such as erythromycin, ketoconazole, ritonavir may increase levels of Tadalafil in the blood
• CYP3A4 inducers such as rifampin, St. John’s wort may reduce levels of Tadalafil in the blood
• Unstable alpha-blocker therapy may increase risk of symptomatic hypotension

Caution is advised when driving or performing unsafe tasks because of the risk of side effects from the drug.
 

Tadalis SX and Alcohol

Drinking large amounts of alcohol may increase the risk of experiencing headache, dizziness, increased heart rate and decrease in blood pressure. Alcohol consumption is best avoided while taking Tadalis SX.

Tadalis SX and Grapefruit

Consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice may increase the risk of side effects. Consumption is best avoided while taking Tadalis SX.
